Everyone eventually hits the dreaded diet plateau. You're eating healthier, exercising more, and the dangerous belly fat is just melting away. Then, all of a sudden, BAM! You hit a wall. You're doing everything that was working before, so what happened? Why are you not seeing results anymore?!

Diet plateaus are very common (and completely normal), but, unfortunately, they discourage many people and cause them to give up entirely, reverting back to their unhealthy, sedentary habits. Here are 8 great tips from Nubella to blast through your diet plateau with a vengeance:

  1. First, determine the cause.
  2. Remind yourself of your goals.
  3. Don't weigh yourself too often.
  4. Find a support group or workout partner.
  5. Keep a food journal.
  6. Crunch some numbers (instead of some Lay's Potato Chips!).
  7. Mix up your exercise routine.
  8. Get rid of excess water weight.

For a more detailed explanation of each step, check out the full article.

When I hit a plateau, I mix up but also PUMP UP my workouts. I have to intensify them to get my metabolism jump-started. I also vary my diet.

Here from the Carnival . . . I’ve linked to you from my site, too.

Great tip JHS, it’s important for anyone to change up your workout every few weeks, so your body is continually forced to adapt and grow.
