Weekly Recap (April 26 – May 3, 2009)
So, I know the vegetarians may be upset, but I reintroduced meat this week and had the best results that I can remember!
I dropped a few more pounds than I'd like to in only a week, but it appears to have been almost all water weight and body fat, since my waist dropped nearly an inch, as well as my caliper measurements (especially the abdominal one).
I really have to give the credit again to decreasing carbs, even though the vast majority of my carbs have come from fruit.
While meatless, I was eating about 10+ servings of fruit per day just to help make up the calorie deficit, but that has now dropped down to only 3 servings per day, since adding chicken and fish back into the mix.
I also experimented with Joel Marion's Cheat Your Way Thin ideas while enjoying a mini-binge last Sunday.
I remember reading his Cheat to Lose book several months ago, but I never really applied it, even though I was impressed with the amount of research and evidence he compiled.
I can't sing the programs praises just yet, since there were a lot of variables changed this week, but I do find it promising that I had some of the best one-week results I've ever had, while downing some of my most sugary, guilty, junk-food pleasures.
With results this great, I may as well give it another shot and grab some CiCi's, Oreos, and Hardee's today to further test his methods — all in the name of science, of course!
But seriously, he realize does make some interesting points, so it's definitely worth a look.
That about raps it up for this week. See you next Sunday and don't forget you can follow my daily updates over at Geek2Freak.com.
