The word itself can send an itch of eagerness down your spine. All the way through the ages almost every culture has used an assortment of substances, usually herbal in source, to put some whiz into their love lives or in an endeavor to heal the impotent.

An aphrodisiac is basically a food, drug, scent or device that declares to perk up libido. It is tricky to verify or invalidate that aphrodisiacs help libido. The reality that someone uses something that seems to be an aphrodisiac has an influential impact on the mind. The consequences may be owing to psychological effects or the brain discharging certain chemicals to rouse the respective organs. The effects are so varied and indistinct that at this point of time, they can't be confirmed scientifically.

Plant aphrodisiacs consist of vegetables, fruits, nuts and grains. Some vegetables have shapes which are indicative to the mind's eye. They have thus been credited to add towards libido. The asparagus and artichoke are representative of these kinds of vegetables which are consumed in the conviction that they have extraordinary properties as implied by their exterior. Little is recognized about the chemical mechanism which performs as aphrodisiacs.

Celery is known to be full of androsterone. This is a male hormone that is capable to kindle the sexual provocation of females. All other vegetables like carrot, fennel and onion are presumed to be excellent for libido but fall short of scientific proof to support their claims.

For fruit aphrodisiacs, the banana tops the catalog. The chemical ingredients comprise of chelating minerals and the bromelain enzyme. These elements apparently advance male libido. However, there's deficiency of irrefutable proof to prop up this suggestion.

The pomegranate is a sign of fertility with its copious seeds. For the Chinese, the pomegranate represents affluence in a profuse household. The peach is a seductive fruit due to its shape and other distinctiveness. It has been credited with seductive traits but logically, it may be owing to the vitamins and minerals there in the fruit which add to the body's well-being. In the group of nuts, gingko nut is all the rage. This nut perks up blood circulation to the edges of the body, and helps in civilizing libido.

Consume grains like oats for your breakfast and familiarize the result by bedtime! Oats support the discharge of testorone in males to help libido.

Herbs and spices not only zing up your food but also your life. Basil, cardamon, clove, garlic, ginger, ginseng, pepper, asafetida and saw palmetto are all fine for adding a little flavor to your sex life.

No matter which ones you decide to employ, keep in mind that aphrodisiacs are to be consumed with a pinch of salt. If you accept them as true, it works.

What are some other natural aphrodisiacs that you've discovered?

First, we discussed women's favorite male body parts. Unfortunately, the fairer sex isn't quite as shallow as us guys.

So, even after you've gotten your physical body in shape, you still need to know more about what women look for in men. Don't worry, they aren't nearly as demanding as you might think.

Lucky for you, here is your own personal cheat sheet, so you can score a perfect 5 out of 5 on the first date pop quiz.

5 Things Women Look for in Men

Shaggy or snazzy. There's Ryan Seacrest-like metrosexuals, and there's Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. You want to be somewhere in between. Don't spend more time than she does getting ready, but at least make an effort to look like you care about the date.

Laughing her pants off. If you can make her laugh and have a good time, it's amazing how many screw-up's and stupid lines you can get away with.

It's just a rerun. Don't be like the last guy she dated or the next guy that's going to hit on her. Set yourself apart by showing her you "get it." Different is new. Different is fresh. Different is what she's looking for.

Beat the clock. It's fine to be unpredictable, spontaneous, and even mysterious, but being fashionably late isn't listed on any woman's list of turn-on's. By the same token, if you show up too early before she's done meticulously preparing every hair on her head, some other guy will probably be enjoying her hard work later, instead of you.

Call me Daddy. If you're looking for a long-term relationship, and she is too, you've got to show your nurturing, caring side to prove that you could take care of your future mini-me's.

Ace these 5 tips and tricks, and the answer to, "What do women look for in men?" will be, "YOU!"

<img src='http://www.fitbuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/how-to-eat-less.jpg' alt=''How to Eat Less" title="How to Eat Less">

Hey fellas, want to know how to eat less and lose weight?

Try asking out that cute girl in account receivables from your office to dinner. Then ask the pretty blond from the insurance division out for a bite to eat the next night. Oh, and I heard the secretary is recently single and loves that Japanese restaurant down the street.

Work your way around your office in this manner, and before you know it, you will have consumed about 35 percent less calories than you would have had you joined the guys for some grub at the bar, where you probably would have downed a few beers, devoured half of a pizza and spent close to eighty dollars on ten cent buffalo wings.

How to Eat Less

Speaking of Buffalo, there's actually research to back my crazy dinner date suggestion — which was conducted at the State University of New York at Buffalo. More or less, it seems that people tend to match their own food intake to the amount that their dining partners are consuming.

As a result, you tend to eat healthier food and smaller portions — resulting in less calories, resulting in loss of weight, resulting in a chaotic office environment …because you've now gone out with every girl that you work with.

By contrast, if you are constantly partaking in the above mentioned scenario of "Guy's Night Out," surrounded by alcohol, wings, and fries, your gut is going to grow as fast as your mounting bar tab debt.

Fortunately, the same "calorie-copying" effect can be had by men who are dining with their girlfriend or wife, so being an office gigolo is not a necessary part of this how to eat less tactic.

It may help, though, considering that you burn upwards of 150 calories during a half hour of sex.

In one of our previous contests, Contest: "The Game" by Neil Strauss, members could ask any dating-related question that was holding back "Their Game."

Below is the first of those questions, along with answers, as promised, to make sure you come out on top (or on bottom?).

First Date Ideas: What is the best place to take a first date?

This is a very common concern among men: "Where do I take her?" "How much should I spend?" "Does she like Thai food?" "Is Friday night right for a first date?"

The most important thing to remember: the location is completely irrelevant.

I know that sounds cliche and frustrating, but it's true. Ask any of your female friends or relatives, and they'll tell you they much rather go grocery shopping with a fun and interesting guy than go to a fancy restaurant with a nervous and boring clamshell.

In fact, I've literally taken women along with me while running errands as a "first date." It gives both of us a chance to experience each other in everyday situations. It's less intimidating. No rules. No awkward silences. It's alive and a live show.

You're simply riffing off each other's energy, and no one knows what's coming next. You're moving around in an open world with infinite opportunities and possibilities for exciting moments.

Doesn't that sound much more exciting than being shackled and handcuffed to a corner booth, while you watch each other chew your food? I've never seen the value in going through the traditional motions of a scripted dinner-and-a-movie date. Those feel so restricting and overdone: "You look nice." "Thanks." "Is your salad good?" "Yes. Is yours?" "Yes."…blah, blah, blah…ZZZZZZZ.

I want to interact with a woman in a variety of situations to see how she handles herself and if we can enjoy each other's company anytime, anywhere.

So, how do you initiate this type of "date"? It's easy: Just say playfully, "Hey, I'm going to run some errands, and you're coming with me." If you had any kind of connection at all when you first met, she'll come along.

Now, it's all up to you. No matter where you take her, make it a good time. I guarantee if you can make a memorable experience out of grocery shopping or buying a new coffee table, there will be plenty more dates after the first.

And once things start heating up, here's how you can use chocolate to get her in the mood.

What are some of your best first date ideas? Ever had a terrible first date? Enlighten us in the comments!

Chocolate and sex: Two of the sweetest things on Earth.

Even though scientists recently found that chocolate isn't addictive, our melt-in-your-mouth friend scored big points in another study.

British scientists observed couples while they ate squares of dark chocolate and while they kissed passionately. Guess what fellas: We lost!

Women's heart rates rose 20 percent more and their bodies released 4 times the endorphins when they ate the cacao-rich chocolate.

It's not a total loss though. At least you know those Valentine chocolates are well worth the money.

If you really want to get technical, the women's version of "chocolate Viagra" used in the study was 65 percent cacao dark chocolate.

Haven't quite made it to the "chocolate sex" stage yet? Here are some great first date ideas.

That's right: A team of Cambridge mathematicians have been studying the famous Jessica Alba butt. "Why?" you ask. "Why not!" they say.

Actually, it does tie in perfectly with our story from last week about Hip and Waist ratios.

You'll recall from that article that any waist to hip ratio below 0.92 is considered healthy and safe. Well, after what I'm sure was some very rigorous research and number-crunching, the Cambridge "scientists" have determined that the absolute perfect ratio for a woman is 0.7 (25 inch waist divided by 36 inch hips).

They say this ratio determines the amount of sexy sway that a woman has in her walk. Or, in more researchy terms, the Cambridge team said:

This ratio provides the body with the right torso strength to produce a more angular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion.

So, even if you can't get down to the perfect Jessica Alba butt ratio, you still need to work your way down to below 0.92. Click here to calculate your waist/hip ratio, and find out how to improve it.

If you're not shy, let us know your numbers in the comments (pictures required for any females below 0.8!).
