Being someone who has had to deal with this disease her whole life, but only getting diagnosed at the age of 30...I would LOVE a cure...BUT....to be honest with you, a cure would mean pills or medication of some sort. And once you start taking all this medication....it never fails, it will come out later on down the road that "the cure" causes cancer or some other ailment. So, the gluten free diet is actually a very healthy diet and gives you all the nutrients and minerals that you need...if you see a nutritionist to get you on the correct diet. The problem is that most nutritionist don't really know a whole bunch about the disease, so they just tell people to "stay off gluten"...there is so much more to it than that!

I know a lot of people sometimes scoff at the whole "prevention is the only cure" idea with many sicknesses, but until we do get realistically meaningful progress towards finding cures for many of the diseases that are killing off most of our population, prevention is our only sure fire way for survival. Why put your self in harms way, even if your chances are slim of catching something.
