Weekly Recap (January 11-18, 2009)

Still recovering from the monumental New Year's Binge-athon, and things are still moving in the right direction.

Of course, my infamous digital scale continues to throw out absurd numbers, like the whopping 19% body fat calculation it hit me with this morning.

I really need to invest about $10,000 in one of those huge scientific water displacement machines, so my readings may be a bit more accurate.

I know there are always calipers, and I've considered them, but from what I've read, those aren't much more reliable or easier to use.

Once I start really approaching my goal of single-digit body fat percentage, then I'll get more serious about getting a better measurement, but in the meantime, I just keep an eye on my overall weight and waist numbers.

For example, this week I dropped about 2 pounds and a full half-inch from my waist, so I know things are going well.

Today is my first weekly fast of the New Year, though I'm only a couple of hours in so far.

I've been surprised at just how easy the first few were, so let's hope that stays the same this time too.

I updated my Diet Log and, believe it or not, actually made it even more detailed.

Now, it shows what time of day I eat the various meals, complete with a beautifully designed pie chart of my Macronutrient Breakdown, courtesy of Apple's iWork 09.
