What is a Blog Carnival?


Every Monday, we post a new edition of the FitBuff.com Total Mind and Body Fitness Blog Carnival. A Blog Carnival is basically a collection of articles or blog posts, all relating to a similar subject, that are gathered together for your viewing pleasure. You can quickly and conveniently see a list of Article Titles and click on the ones that interest you to read the full post. Blog carnivals are a great way to see a wide variety of ideas and opinions on a similar subject.

What does RSS stand for, and how do I use it?


RSS stands for “Rich Site Summary” and/or “Really Simple Syndication”. RSS feeds allow you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from all the sites you are interested in. Just subscribe to your favorite websites’ feeds, and you can view all of their new updates on one convenient page.

For example, let’s say you visit 10 different websites on a regular basis. If you subscribe to all 10 of their feeds, then each day you can simply go to your FeedReader and view all the new content posted to those 10 websites all on one page. This saves you time from having to go visit each of the 10 pages individually. You can just take a quick glance at the various updates, then only click through to the ones that interest you the most.
