Fast Food Friday – Eat This, Not That

Fast food on a health and fitness blog? Yes, and no. No, you absolutely shouldn't ever eat it again, but, yes, you probably will at some point.

Whether it's on a road trip when you don't have time to stop (and didn't bring your own healthy snack), or on the way home from a long day at work when those golden arches lure you in like a Venus flytrap, you're going to find yourself struggling to understand the voice coming out of the giant clown mouth again.

Let's be real: There is virtually nothing that could be legitimately classified under the "healthy" tag, but there are some definite misdemeanors among the horde of federal felonies.

To help you do the least damage to your waistline, arteries, and overall health, the folks at Men's Health have come up with a handy little swapping guide called, "Eat This, Not That."

The book covers nearly every fast food chain and restaurant and even breaks down food choices by category, telling you which option is the lesser of two evils.

Even if you've vowed never to eat the scientifically modified slop they serve ever again, "Eat This, Not That" could add years to the life of a friend or loved one. Some people just can't shake the stuff, so at least make them feel like they are doing something a little better for themselves.

For a sample of 10 top swaps, check out the preview here, then buy the full book.
