- Cancer Doubt Remains Over Mobiles In a day and age when everything seems to be linked to cancer, a new study takes some burden away from cell phones. They say, so far, the statistical findings are right on the borderline, but mobiles appear to be safe. They are going to do more tests on people that have been using cell phones for over 10 years just to be sure.
- Higher Gasoline Prices Seen Trimming Down Americans As much as we all hate to see gas prices soar, some say it could help us lose weight. The theory is that people are less likely to drive to a fat-laden restaurant meal and possibly even ride a bike or take a walk when gas prices are through the roof.
- Russian "Sex Day" to Boost Births A region in Russia has declared September 12 a holiday, "Family Contact Day." Due to their falling population, they actually give people the day off work to go home and have sex. For those that successfully produce a baby 9 months later, there are even huge prizes, including cash and SUV's!
