Health Benefits of Yoghurt

As children, very rarely do we come across a food that both we and our parents agree that we can as much of as we'd like. No candy, chocolate, icecream… bah! What's a boy to do, honestly!

Of course, the only time when we were allowed to eat as much ice cream as possible was when we had to get an operation that dealt with our tonsils. And in the general scheme of things, there were more restrictions than freedoms given to us as children.

On the other hand, parents would love to give their children that 'eat your green vegetables' speech which often led us to dispose of these nutritious items by deceptive means if necessary.

Yet not many of us (at least me, in this case!) have a problem with yoghurt…

Is Yoghurt Nutritious?

To answer this question simply, the answer to this problem would be a clear 'yes'. Nutrients such as zinc, molybdenum, iodine, potassium, calcium, protein, vitamin B5, riboflavin and vitamin B12 have been known to be a major part of the nutrients that are a part of yoghurt, and despite the fact that it is produced by the 'bacterial fermentation' of milk, there is no doubt that it is just as nutritious as milk itself.

Yet the biggest advantage of enjoying yoghurt is the fact that you will not have to worry about your lactose-intolerance allergy acting up due to the fact that you had a big bowl of fresh yoghurt.

And this is just one of the many health benefits of yoghurt…

Health Benefits of Yoghurt

Now that we have established the fact that yoghurt is good for you, it's only a matter or time that a list of benefits is in order, and so without further ado, here is a list of health benefits that yoghurt offers people who consume it regularly.

Benefit #1: Due to the presence of "good bacteria" which ferments milk into yoghurt, this automatically eliminates the bad bacteria that can cause issues to our health.

Benefit #2: In consuming yoghurt regularly, the yeast levels in our body are balanced out and this ensures that we don't have any yeast infections in the future.

Benefit #3: Boosts the immune system

Benefit #4: Improves digestion

Benefit #5: Prevents irritable bowl syndrome as well as health issues related to the urinary tract as well

Benefit #6: In particular, the nutrient calcium in yoghurt is responsible for strengthening your bones and teeth

Benefit #7: A daily serving of yoghurt will ensure that you lose a significant amount of weight over a period of time

Benefit #8: If you eat a bowl of yoghurt, you can be sure that the protein content in that serving will help you get through the day rather easily.

Benefit #9: You can kiss bad breath goodbye in eating yoghurt while also protecting yourself from ulcers

Benefit #10: Yoghurt also helps the heart when it comes to raising LDL and lowering HDL cholesterol levels.

Benefit #11: Last but not the least, you can cure arthritis as well as reduce your risk of colorectal cancer by eating yoghurt daily too.

In Closing

Trust me, if you are a parent, this is just one of must-have foods that your kid will actually enjoy eating.

I’m just curious here, when you talk about yoghurt, do you mean all types of yoghurt? I am well aware of the fact that yoghurt prevents many sexual infections but I did not know about its ability to help losing weight? does the full cream yoghurt as well has this ability over the long run?
