That's right: A team of Cambridge mathematicians have been studying the famous Jessica Alba butt. "Why?" you ask. "Why not!" they say.
Actually, it does tie in perfectly with our story from last week about Hip and Waist ratios.
You'll recall from that article that any waist to hip ratio below 0.92 is considered healthy and safe. Well, after what I'm sure was some very rigorous research and number-crunching, the Cambridge "scientists" have determined that the absolute perfect ratio for a woman is 0.7 (25 inch waist divided by 36 inch hips).
They say this ratio determines the amount of sexy sway that a woman has in her walk. Or, in more researchy terms, the Cambridge team said:
This ratio provides the body with the right torso strength to produce a more angular swing and bounce to the hips during the walking motion.
So, even if you can't get down to the perfect Jessica Alba butt ratio, you still need to work your way down to below 0.92. Click here to calculate your waist/hip ratio, and find out how to improve it.
If you're not shy, let us know your numbers in the comments (pictures required for any females below 0.8!).

My waist-to-hip ratio is 0.68! That's crazy! I've always had a quite flat stomach compared to most girls, I don't really have any of that tummy flab at all. And I don't do sit-ups or anything, it's just good genes! Love you mom ;]
Danielle, the rule is all women with ratios below 0.7 must include pictures…
I almost made it at 7.14…
not bad at 38-30-42
Same rules apply for you Miss Alexandra!
i've always hated the fact that i have hips, but i've always thought jessica alba is super sexy so if my 24/35 ratio is considered hot, then i need to stop whining and starting swinging my hips :D
Mine's 0.68 as well…
24" waist
35" hip
And I refuse to post a picture. :)
@art: That's right, swing 'em with pride!
@Veronica: Not cool. Especially since you and art have the same measurements, pictures are required for further Cambridge studying…
YaY!
Waist: 26.5in
Hips: 37.5in
Perfect 0.7 Ratio
Clearly, no one is taking the study seriously enough, as pictures are absolutely required for scientific study and professional examination!
