Weekly Recap (December 9-16)
My weight increased by about a pound and my body fat continues to climb without intense exercise, but I'm close to getting back into the full swing of things which will start changing my body composition back for the better.
I can't believe it's been almost 7 weeks since the surgery. I go for the 7 week post-op checkup on Tuesday, at which point I expect to be cleared for full exercise and normal diet again.
Starting tomorrow, I'm going to start mini circuits with just body weight exercises and continue slowly working my way back to full strength and full endurance.
I rode the exercise bike for the first time since surgery today for 10 minutes at about 90 RPM. That's far from a HIIT session, but I barely felt winded at all which was a welcome surprise.
I'm going to continue with easy to moderate cardio work like today's for another week or two before I dive back into all out HIIT, but I'm excited to see everything moving in the right direction and finally having the biggest part of surgery and recovery behind me.
That about raps it up for this week. See you next Sunday and don't forget you can follow my daily updates over at the forums in this thread: Personal Daily Workout Log.
