Weekly Recap (July 6-13, 2008)
Excellent results this week! I had high hopes for today, and I'm glad I had a reason to be optimistic.
Now that I'm implementing more intense cardio via HIIT sprints, I upped my calories by a couple hundred per day.
As a result, I was able to pack on about 5 pounds while actually lowering my body fat — always my favorite combination!
I'm really loving the outdoor sprints, and they appear to be leaps and bounds ahead of HIIT on the exercise bike.
Don't get me wrong, the bike is great for convenience, but there's nothing like real world sprinting, which is one of those things that I've always read and known but largely ignored.
As I continue to get better and faster at sprints, I'm sure the results will improve as well!

I love HIIT and the results it delivers when done right.
As much as I may hate it half way through the 8th interval of sprints, I absolutely love the results too!
