Weekly Recap (June 8-15, 2008)

Last week I had my nutritional breakdown on Monday AND Tuesday with a two-day eating binge, but it was great motivation to perform well this week.

Every workout felt fantastic after I got all of the junk out of my system, and I'm getting more familiar with the new 30 minute warm-up routine every day.

It sounds like a long time to warm up, but the results are more than worth it, and my body feels great and ready for the main workout afterward.

I still haven't memorized every move, but I'm getting closer, and once I don't have to get up and check the descriptions so often, I'll be able to cut the warm-up time down to about 25 minutes.

I was all clean eating-wise this week, but I had been craving a cinnamon roll ever since last week's binge.

Instead of ignoring it any longer and risking another binge, I decided it was better to just satisfy it and get it out of the way.

So, I went to Wal-Mart, bought a 10-pack of the reduced fat 0g Trans Fat cinnamon rolls, baked just one, and threw the rest away.

The 10-pack was the smallest they had, plus it felt good to resist the temptation to cook the rest.

Just the one roll tasted just as good as the originals and satisfied my craving with relatively little damage to my diet.

I'm going out of town tomorrow for four days, so this will be a great test to see if my diet can withstand the demand of traveling.

I've already bought a cooler and have my meals planned out, so if I pull off this trip with at least 90% clean eating, I will be extremely pleased.

Wish me luck!

That about raps it up for this week. See you next Sunday and don't forget you can follow my daily updates over at the forums in this thread: Personal Daily Workout Log.
