Weekly Recap (March 23-30)

I just got back in town, and this was my last "all you can eat" weekend for a while. I've now officially gained back all my weight I lost after surgery, and it's time to start getting lean again, just in time for the warm weather!

I said I was going to get calipers for this week, but the more I looked into them, it seems those can be just as unreliable as digital scales, or any other method that doesn't involve million-dollar water displacement machines.

So, for now, I'll just stick with using the digital scale as a general guide of whether I'm going up or down, along with my measurements.

I ate like a madman again this weekend, but was still surprised to see I was up to over 195! Plus, my waist is over 33, so time to go all clean and all lean!

Today marks the end of my 12 weeks of weight training since surgery, and I take an active rest week every 3 months. This time for my active rest, I'm going to try something I've been wanting to since I read an article about it in Men's Health.

It was an article about NBA players who do Bikram Yoga, which is a type of yoga that you do in a room that is heated to over 100 degrees with high humidity. I looked into it briefly before and found out there is a Bikram yoga studio less than 5 minutes from my house. I've never done any type of yoga before, so it should be an interesting experience.

My first class will be in the morning, and depending on how I like it, I'll probably do it every day for the week and see how I feel at the end. Of course, I'll keep you updated as to what it's like in the daily log over in the forums.

That about raps it up for this week. See you next Sunday and don't forget you can follow my daily updates over at the forums in this thread: Personal Daily Workout Log.
