Weekly Recap (November 4 – 11)
This was my first full week home after surgery. I had hoped I was done losing my lean mass, but unfortunately, I slipped a little more this week. I feel like the Wicked Witch of the West melting away!
I dropped into the dreaded 160's at 168.4, so I'll be increasing my calories this week by drinking even MORE protein shakes and Ensures.
At least I have adjusted to the taste and routine of an all liquid diet, but I cannot wait to get my hands on some REAL FOOD!
I go back to the doctor on the 20th, at which point I hope for him to give me clearance to move up to at least "mushy" foods like applesauce, yogurt, peanut butter, etc. mmmm! It's sad how appetizing and irresistible those things sound right now.
Also, he will probably give me clearance to start doing some light exercise too which will be equally satisfying! I feel like a big ball of energy ready to explode right now, but I can't strain too much for risk of jarring something loose, plus the last thing I want to do right now is speed up any weight loss.
