WOW! Surgery is no fun! haha
My surgery went great on Tuesday, and I left the hospital on Thursday. I was on an IV for the first 24 hours, and have been on a pure liquid diet since, and will be for a few more WEEKS!
Needless to say, I dropped a lot of weight, but even more than I had anticipated…nearly 15 pounds in one week! I guess I had forgotten how quickly I lose weight when I'm not fighting to pack it on.
My face is still HUGE, haha, but I haven't had much pain at all. Some good news too is the doctor said I would only have to stop exercising for 2-3 weeks, I thought he might tell me longer than that.
I go for my post-op checkup on Tuesday, and I'll get a better idea of how long before I can eat REAL food again, these protein shakes and Ensures are getting old fast!
Hopefully, I'll find a balance in the coming weeks and won't lose too much more weight, I would hate to plunge all the way down to the 160's!
I hope this whole "muscle memory" thing I hear about is really true, so that when everything is back to normal I will be able to pack on a lot of muscle in a hurry.
We'll see how it goes, and I'll keep you updated on the progress here and in the daily workout log over on the forums.
