I have heard a lot about the positive impacts of Omega 3's, but what are some other options of obtaining it besides supplements or fish. I want to incorporate it in my diet, even though I am not a fish-eater!

Hi Jenna,

I didn't use to like fish either, but I LOVE salmon now!

Any reason you're not interested in a fish oil supplement either?

There are a few foods popping up that are "Omega 3 fortified," like certain brands of eggs, but the amounts are usually relatively small compared to actual fish and supplements. I take two fish oil capsules every morning, and if you stick with high-quality brands, they are completely tasteless.

My parents have been big on omega 3 for years with eating fish, but I caught on late. When I asked them why, they told me it was for reason number 1, the mental health boost. Quick question: How much fish can you eat to get a good dose of Omega 3 without risking too much mercury to the system? Oh by the way, I did a post today on Three supplements for a strong and healthy heart. Check it out, let me know what you think.
